The Community News was started about 35 years ago to  provide the local community with a means of communicating important local news,  social information and information from further field but still of interest or  concern to us.

The local residents at the time had formed the "Mangrove Mountain & Districts  Community Group" and they realised that effective communication was necessary to  unite our local widespread community. Thus the Community News was born.

 The News contains contributions from residents, schools, social groups and many other sources.
